Pastor & Family Assistance Fund

As you have read on the Inua Jamii page, the long term, sustainable solution to the poverty of small church pastors in the developing world is for their congregation members to have sustainable incomes on which they can faithfully tithe. That being said, this long-term solution is exactly that—long-term. It will take years of intentional investment and management for this strategy to bear fruit in the lives of pastors. In the meantime, FLS pastors have both acute and chronic financial situations that need to be addressed now.

These needs include (but are not limited to):

  • inputs for farming such as seeds, fertilizer, soil amendments, weed killer, etc.

  • solar kits to generate electricity for their homes

  • the cost of doctor’s visits and medications

  • school fees for their children (public education is not free in many developing countries)

  • small business capital (only provided simultaneous to capital being provided to their church members)
